ILS-5 oil is a distilled oil derived from sulfuric crude oils that undergo deep selective refining with antioxidant, anti-wear, anticorrosive, and antifoaming additives. It is designed for high-speed spindle units of metalworking machines. ILS-5 oil is used for lubricating lightly loaded high-speed mechanisms such as spindles, bearings, and related connections. ILS-5 oil is economically most feasible to use instead of viscosity-matched oils without additives, such as I-5A and I-8A oils.
