VM-1S oil (TC 38.1011187-88) is produced from sulfurous or low-sulfur paraffinic oils by deep purification and special vacuum distillation.
The operation of vacuum units and pumps is impossible without lubricating fluid. This liquid is a special vacuum oil for vacuum equipment. Any vacuum oil is a liquid with low vapor pressure, which is used as a lubricant for rubbing surfaces in vacuum devices. In addition, synthetic vacuum oil is used as a working fluid in oil-steam pumps or as a sealing fluid in mechanically operated pumps. The main area where vacuum oil is used is volumetric vacuum pumps (high-vacuum steam, oil-sealed mechanical pumps, steam booster, steam-jet, as well as for filling liquid vacuum gauges).
In mechanical pumps, vacuum oil is necessary for the tightness of the working chambers of the mechanism. This task requires special qualities that the oil must possess. The level of performance of this oil depends on the viscosity. The viscosity determines how quickly a given vacuum oil will evaporate.
